Classified areas require products with certification and marking suitable for the zone, gas/dust group and temperature class. Certification must be verified per product.
Barriers and I/O for Ex signals
Isolation barriers and Remote I/O can interface field signals to the control system. Intrinsically safe circuits require verification of the complete loop and entity parameters.
Motors and drives
Pumps, compressors and fans can use motors and drives selected by load and area classification. Ex motors and protective functions must be verified as a compatible solution.
Automation and communication
PLC, SCADA and industrial communication centralize measurements, commands and alarms. Local I/O can reduce field wiring in distributed installations.
Condition monitoring
Vibration and temperature can be monitored on pumps, motors and compressors to identify behavior changes before unplanned shutdown.
